Domestic and international drinks wholesaler, Interbev, is poised for growth with support from Lloyds Bank.
Interbev, the domestic & international wholesaler specialising in recognised drinks brands, supplies UK, European & Australasian wholesalers, distributors, retailers, hoteliers, pub chains & some breweries.
Its stock includes a variety of premium wine, beer and spirits brands as well as soft drinks and water and sees rapid turnover due to strong demand for alcoholic beverages. Recognising opportunities for growth through increased customer demand, Interbev switched its banking facilities to Lloyds Bank.

Supporting business potential
Cara Graham, Finance Director at Interbev, says: “The team at Lloyds Bank clearly understood the potential to grow the business and how we capitalise on a multi-channel sales approach.”
In addition to refinancing Interbev’s existing banking facilities, Lloyds Bank provided the business with a £6million asset based lending facility and a £2.5million stock facility, enabling Interbev to borrow against the value of its products to generate cashflow.
The facilities the Bank has provided will play a significant role in accelerating our ambitions, both domestically and in international markets,
Funding to fuel growth
“The facilities the Bank has provided will play a significant role in accelerating our ambitions, both domestically and in international markets,” adds Cara.
Peter Jackson, Relationship Director at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, says the combination of asset based lending and trade finance provides Interbev with a firm platform for growth. “Asset based lending bridges the payment gap that arises when working with a number of suppliers and distributors and supports Interbev’s working capital. Meanwhile trade finance helps businesses trading overseas manage the much longer working capital cycle, helping Interbev compete on the global stage and fuel growth.”
